Abstracts, Award Nominations Due for 2018 UCOWR Water Research Conference

Students and professionals in water research are invited to submit an abstract to present at this year’s Water Research Conference hosted by the Universities Council on Water Resources (UCOWR) and the National Institutes for Water Resources (NIWR). The conference is scheduled for June 26-28, 2018 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The conference gathers professionals in research, education, management, and policy to discuss water resource issues across the region, nation, and globe. The deadline to submit an abstract is January 22, 2018. View the call for abstracts on the conference website, http://ucowr.org/conferences/abstract.

During the conference, UCOWR will recognize awardees in four categories. Those categories include the Warren A. Hall Medal, Friends of UCOWR, Education and Public Service, and PhD Dissertation awards.

If you want to nominate someone for an award, email the Arkansas Water Resources Center program manager, Erin Scott, with all the nomination materials by January 31st. Information about each award and the nomination requirements can be found here.

About Arkansas Water Resources Center

Founded in 1964, the AWRC engages with students by supporting student research and providing employment opportunities. The AWRC also operates a water quality laboratory where water samples are analyzed for researchers, students, and the public.
