104G Preproposals due February 15

The U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the National Institutes for Water Resources is requesting proposals for the FY 2018 Water Resources Research National Competitive Grants Program (104G).

The 104G grant program is focused on water research into problems and issues of a regional or interstate nature beyond those of concern only to a single state. Preproposals may be for projects of 1 to 3 years in duration and may request up to $250,000 in federal funds.

Any investigator at an institution of higher learning in the United States may apply. In Arkansas, the researcher must submit their preproposal through the AWRC. Preproposals that include collaboration with the USGS are strongly encouraged.

Preproposals should be no more than 4 pages, not counting references. Thirty preproposals from across the country will be invited to submit a full proposal.

Preproposals are due by February 15 at 4:00 pm by emailing to the AWRC program manager, Erin Scott, at erins@uark.edu. Preproposals will then be sent to the National Grants Competition Preproposal Peer Review Panel.
