The Arkansas Water Resources Center Welcomes Two New Staff Members

Mallory Hoff (left) is an Agriculture Lab Technician at the AWRC Water Quality Laboratory. Mallory completed her undergraduate degree in Environmental, Soil, and Water Science at the University of Arkansas in December 2022. Her favorite part of her job at the lab is conducting the water quality analysis. In her free time, Mallory likes to spend time outdoors, making art, and exercising.

Brandy Everett (right) joined the AWRC in November 2022 and is a Graduate Research Assistant. Brandy completed her undergraduate degree in Environmental Science at the University of Central Arkansas in 2022. She is working on a Master of Science in Environmental Dynamics at the University of Arkansas. Her research will focus on relationships between water quality and land use in the Upper Saline River watershed and will inform a watershed management plan for the Saline River. Brandy’s favorite part of her job is being able to help citizens learn about and improve their water supplies. In her free time, Brandy enjoys hiking, cooking, and baking. She recently took up embroidery.

About Arkansas Water Resources Center

Founded in 1964, the AWRC engages with students by supporting student research and providing employment opportunities. The AWRC also operates a water quality laboratory where water samples are analyzed for researchers, students, and the public.

Mission Statement

The mission of the AWRC is three-fold:

  1. to support water research in Arkansas
  2. to train future water scientists and engineers
  3. to share information with stakeholders.
