Spotlight: Arkansas Water Young Professional Network

The Arkansas Water Young Professional Network is making waves across the state by connecting and supporting the next generation of water professionals. This volunteer-driven organization focuses on three core missions: connecting and supporting early-career water professionals, providing opportunities to advance skills and knowledge, and supporting the retention and development of the water workforce.

Recent Activities

Last month, Network members gathered for a tailgate at the Arkansas State Red Wolves vs. the University of Arkansas Razorbacks football game in Little Rock, Arkansas. They also met in northwest Arkansas for a presentation from Water for Good, a Bentonville-based nonprofit that provides sustainable access to reliable water, sanitation, and hygiene in communities around the world.

Join the Network for Trivia Night

Mark your calendars for the Network’s next event on Monday, October 20, from 6-8 p.m. at Ozark Beer Company in Rogers, Arkansas. This trivia night will raise funds for Water for Good while participants compete for prizes. It’s a perfect opportunity to network with fellow water professionals in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

Get Involved

“The AR YP Network offers exceptional value to young professionals by supporting their career growth and long-term success,” explains one of the organization’s leadership members, Alyssa Liddle, a laboratory analyst with Beaver Water District, “Membership is free and open to all, regardless of age or industry experience. So, whether you’re new to the field or have been in the industry for some time, we’d love to have you join us at one of our events!”
