Study Confirms Micro-Algae’s Cleaning Ability in Wastewater Treatment

Some really exciting research in water quality is coming out of Dr. Wen Zhang’s Lab at the University of Arkansas. Dr. Zhang and her research group have found a single celled algal species that may be useful in helping remove nitrogen and phosphorus from wastewater, which will ultimately decrease how much is being released into the environment.
