AWRC Welcomes Graphic Design Student Intern
Abby Sandifeer, a rising senior at the University of Arkansas, has joined the Arkansas Water Resources Center as this year’s summer intern.
“I’m really excited to have Abby this summer,” says Erin Scott, AWRC program manager. “We have a lot of exciting things for her to work on.”
Abby will focus her time supporting the AWRC’s information transfer mission. She will develop content to help share valuable information about the AWRC Water Quality Lab and the resources available to researchers and the public. She will also revitalize our efforts to bring awareness of the Water Center and relevant water issues to the student body at the University of Arkansas.
“I’m eager to spend my summer working with AWRC, creating fun graphics to encourage greater water literacy and awareness of the Center, for students and the general public.”
Abby is working on a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education and wants to become a high school teacher. In her spare time, Abby likes to hike, volunteer with her church, and binge watch shows on Netflix.
This is the fifth year of the student internship program at the AWRC. Students have worked on projects from watershed mapping to website design and development.
