Arkansas Water Webinar Series Launching March 2024

Arkansas Water Webinar Series Launching March 2024

The Arkansas Water Resources Center and state water partners will host a recurring Arkansas Water Webinar Series starting next year.

The AWRC works with the Arkansas Department of Agriculture, Arkansas Forests and Drinking Water Collaborative, Beaver Watershed Alliance and Illinois River Watershed Partnership to host an annual water conference each summer.

The annual conference brings together around 200 water professionals across the state and region. We were inspired to keep that momentum going as a regularly recurring virtual forum.

The group would like to announce the first webinar in this series, “The Arkansas Discovery Farms Program: Lessons Learned and Looking to the Future.”  This webinar will feature two faculty from the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture leading the Arkansas Discovery Farms Program:

This presentation will look into the past and share critical lessons learned about water quality from across the Arkansas Discovery Farms. Drs. Shannon Speir and Mike Daniels will provide a look into future with research and extension plans for the program.

This event is scheduled for Thursday, March 28th, 2024, from noon to 1 pm Central Standard Time.

The Arkansas Water Webinars will be a continuing monthly series on the last Thursday of each month from noon to 1 pm. We plan to announce the events months in advance. Webinars will be held in March, April, May, June, August, September and October.

The annual water conference will be held July 16 – 18, 2024 in person in Fayetteville, AR. There will be no webinar in July.

We look forward to seeing you at this forum for interesting water topics relevant to our state.
