Register for the May Webinar Hosted by Illinois River Watershed Partnership

Join us for the next Arkansas Water Webinar, hosted by the Illinois River Watershed Partnership (IRWP), on Thursday, May 15, from noon to 1 p.m. Leif Kindberg, executive director of IRWP, will present the Riparian Restoration Program’s recent work.

With funding from the Arkansas Department of Agriculture – Natural Resources Division, the Walton Family Foundation, and 12 other state, local, and federal partners, the program enhanced and restored streams in the watershed from 2014 to 2019.

In total, the program signed up 35 landowners to enhance or restore over 21 miles of streams in the watershed, reducing sediment and nutrients and restoring habitat in a range of riparian and upland ecosystems.

Kindberg will also speak about other urban and rural projects, as well as his experience and lessons learned throughout the process of implementing the program.

Register for the May water webinar to learn more about the program, its impacts, and the importance of such programs.
