Record Attendance at the Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Resources Conference

The Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Conference at the University of Arkansas was a resounding success, with over 200 attendees setting a new record for conference attendance.

The event, which took place from July 22 to 24, provided a platform for professionals, researchers, and enthusiasts to share insights, advancements, and collaborative opportunities in the fields of agriculture, forestry, and water resources.

The conference began with engaging presentations and discussions, setting the tone for a productive and informative gathering. Attendees learned valuable information and innovative ideas to address industry challenges.

One of the highlights of the conference was Adam Chappell’s presentation on the benefits of cover crops and limited tillage practices on water and soil quality. Read more about his research and presentation at the link here.

The United States Geological Survey also played a significant role in the conference, presenting several sessions on water resource management and conservation. One of those sessions was led by Ben Miller, who provided an in-depth analysis showing the intricate and complex relationships of underground flow paths in springs across the Ozarks.

The insights and strategies shared at the conference motivated attendees to drive progress in these critical fields leading up to next year’s conference.

The 2025 Agriculture, Forests, and Water Conference is scheduled for July 22-24. The conference promises to build on the successes of this year, offering even more opportunities for learning, networking, and collaboration.

Next year’s conference will continue to feature leading experts and thought leaders in agriculture, forestry, and water resources. Attendees can look forward to a diverse range of sessions and presentations that address emerging trends and challenges.

The conference is open to all, whether you are a seasoned professional or a newcomer to the industry. More information about conference sessions and registration will be shared in spring 2025.
