About the Event: This year, the Arkansas Water Resources Center is partnering with the Beaver Watershed Alliance and the Arkansas Forests and Drinking Water Collaborative to provide informative presentations, poster sessions and a local tour relating to managing water quality and protection in various situations.

The goal of this conference is to bring people together to share ideas and experiences that will help researchers, state agencies, and other stakeholders address current water resource challenges.

VENUE

The conference will be held at the Don Tyson Center for Agricultural Sciences. This venue is conveniently located right off I-49 at the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station. The address is 1371 West Altheimer Drive, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72704.

POSTER SESSIONS

We are accepting poster presentations, especially from undergraduate or graduate students who want to compete in the student research poster competition! Please email your title to Dr. Brian Haggard, haggard@uark.edu. If you are a student, please include your mentor’s contact information. ​

Poster size should be 3 feet by 4 feet, portrait or landscape. Limited space is available. The deadline to submit a poster is June 17th.

About Arkansas Water Resources Center

Founded in 1964, the AWRC engages with students by supporting student research and providing employment opportunities. The AWRC also operates a water quality laboratory where water samples are analyzed for researchers, students, and the public.

  2. to train future water scientists and engineers
